Once you have made your own apple sauce you will never buy a jar from the shop again.
700g of apples, peeled, cored and chopped
350ml of Water
100g of caster sugar
1 cinnamon stick or 1/2 tsp of powder
Makes 2 jars
Place all the ingredients into a saucepan. Simmer over a low heat until tender approx 15 minutes. Remove the cinnamon stick if used. Mash with either a potato masher or put in a food processor to blend. Pour into jars and place in fridge.
