This recipe for sausages braised with bacon and cider is a posted up version of sausage and mash. It’s really easy to make.

Olive Oil
8 high welfare pork sausages
3-4 rashers of bacon
1 onion halved and sliced
1tbsp of plain flour
450ml of cider
1tsp of Dijon mustard
Mash potato to serve

Heat the oil in a casserole. Add sausages and brown. Remove from pan.
Add the bacon and onion to the pan and cook for 5 minutes until Golden. Sprinkle In the flour to cook and then add the cider. Simmer for 2 minutes and then add the mustard. Add back the sausages. Simmer for 20 minutes until the sauce has thickened. Server with creamy mash potato.
